Thanksgiving is a special time of year. In fact, it’s my favorite holiday. To come together with family and friends to show appreciation for one another means so much to us all. So often, we forget to say how thankful we are for all that we have been given, that we worked hard to achieve, or that we have created. At least, that’s how I’ve thought of this time
Yeah, right! Most of you would disagree. For most people, Thanksgiving is the most stressful time of year. All the transportation headaches at airports, train stations, and bus depots along with headaches over weather delays just to start. We haven’t even gotten home get to gorge ourselves on both the heavy, carb-laden foods before the calls start coming every five minutes. Where are you? What’s going on? What’s taking so long? Don’t you love us? The family is stressful, the food is fattening, and the drinking never gives as much courage as needed. But we all grin and bear it. Maybe it’s not so bad after all.
The traditions of Black Friday and now Cyber Monday have become synonymous with Thanksgiving. Be sure to stay in touch with your friends at The Market Giant for discounts and promotions on the products you love. It’s one less hassle over the holidays. Happy Thanksgiving from The Market Giant! Love it or hate it, there’s always a story to tell.
We at The Market Giant want to thank the incredible service and dedication of the millions of Veterans to the protection of freedom and being a force for good. We honor you every day, especially today. Happy Veterans Day!
Halloween is a strange time in my town. With all of the regulations to protect child safety, it seems like the only time to trick-or-treat is during the early evening. Parents have to shuttle their children around and make sure that when talking to strangers with candy that they are safe. Have children become any safer because of our fears as adults? I doubt it.
When I was a kid, we would run around all hours of the evening, eating whatever candy we could lay our hands on, sure that we would never get sick, which inevitably we all did. We turned out okay, didn’t we? One generation’s fears get passed to another’s. And so on.
Well, this Halloween, let’s not get caught up in the pretend fear. Let’s treat ourselves to something fun. Happy Halloween from The Market Giant! We hope that it’s a scream.
I always thought good advertisements for Columbus Day would be based on perspectives. From the explorer’s point of view, the search for a route to India has led the ships astray. What if there was an easier way to find out exactly where they were going? This is where Garmin, Navteq, or TomTom could step in. Get to where you need to be with fill-in-the-blank GPS. Of course, a natural question arises. If there were undiscovered lands, how and why would they be on a satellite navigation system? Maybe the GPS company knew about them ahead of time.
The other side of the encounter is a lot easier to picture. The Native Americans see some ships coming, and they know that they will be secure. They have security systems by ADT, Broadview, or Honeywell. Intruders are kept at bay, literally. To whoever runs those campaigns, you should think about some product placement.
The reason that I bring these points up today is two-fold. First, we all look for two things when internet shopping: knowing how to get to what we want and being secure when getting there. On Columbus Day, you can have the best of both at The Market Giant. Second, check out our deals of Security and Camera equipment. They can keep you safe whether you’re at home or at sea.
Here are some things that I found out when I decided not to turn off my brain for the summer and actually pay attention. In no particular order:
Tell us what you learned this summer at info@themarketgiant.com. We at The Market Giant will be here to listen.
So that’s it? That’s the end of summer? Well, maybe it’s not the official end by the calendar or the season has not yet turned, but it sure feels like it. With beaches and pools emptying out, and Labor Day passing, it shows too. It’s time to get back to work, back to school, and back to life as we know it. Whether or not we had our summer vacation on a plane or in our heads, it’s time to get back to reality. The Market Giant can help.
You’ve got enough concerns in life, so let us help you take some of the worry out of the equation. Cables, monitors, projectors, surveillance, and hundreds of other products can be on their way to you to help ease that transition back from the summer. We are at your disposal.

I don’t know about you, but I was glad to wake up today without the commotion and hostility that happened on this day ten years ago. Let’s hope that we can stick together.
The Market Giant wishes peace and comfort to all those affected and a debt of gratitude to those who risked their own lives to give people a little more time on Earth. True heroes you are, and we salute you.
Sometimes it’s amazing how much fables and fairy tales can teach us about life and its little mysteries. The story of the Tortoise and the Hare teaches us how slow and steady wins the race. That lesson applies to investments over the long term, even in the face of disruptive shifts in the economy. The tale of the Frog and the Scorpion shows us how difficult it is to understand the idea of change. We know to be skeptical of offers that are just too good to be true, and so we delete emails and ignore requests from strangers with candy. The moral of the Three Little Pigs is that hard work and dedication pay. Build your house with bricks.
I want to talk about Goldilocks and Three Bears in its classic context today. The story is meant to warn people of guarding against intruders and showing caution when wandering off to explore uncharted territory. While it is a shame that children are not taught those elements in favor of focus on who is essentially the bad one in the story and her needs, it is important to notice how picky she is.
Recently, we at The Market Giant have received a number of orders for items that are not currently available. I am surprised at the number of niche market goods in the cables, converters, and adapters sphere that are in such hot demand. We always try to find whatever we can for you and at the best prices, but sometimes some items are nowhere to be found. Is somewhere hoarding these products and trying to unload them at monopolistic prices? Have the manufacturers made limited supplies not seeing increasing demand? Could there be a logistics backup that is not allowing the products to reach the distribution channels and, thus, get to valued customers? Something else?
We always love to hear your comments and questions at The Market Giant, so if you have any ideas that could help us best answer these questions, then please drop us a line at info@themarketgiant.com or comment on our blog page.
